Dedicated on December 7, 1963, the Obelisk was the first structure built on park property. It is “dedicated to the living, in memory of our fallen comrades who gave their lives to our country”. The Obelisk is a memorial that perpetuates the reverence we hold for those who died in defense of our country. It is a reminder of the sacrifices made to ensure our future.
